Three Banana Slugs hit double figures in 88-48 road win
LANCASTER - Sohan Kshirsagar scored a season-high 17 points in 25 minutes as UC Santa Cruz overwhelmed West Coast Baptist 88-48 to open a two-game roadtrip to the Southland.
UC Santa Cruz (3-15) broke an eleven-game losing streak in scoring the most points this season.
Kshirsagar went 4-9 from three point shooting and had a team-high nine rebounds.
Reece Ivanoff and Ian McCloskey each added 10 points. Twelve Banana Slugs got into the scoring column.
Overall UC Santa Cruz shot 41.7% (33-79) from the field and outrebounded the Eagles 66-37 in the wire-to-wire win.
UC Santa Cruz tries to keep the win streak alive when they play Westcliff University in Irvine on Sunday afternoon.
