Squad to play in Nepal in two weeks
Women's soccer player Arianna LePage was chosen for the Philippines national team for their upcoming Asian Cup/World Cup qualifiers.
A graduate of Woodbridge High in Orange County, LePage competed for The Philippines at both the Under-15 and Under-17 levels.
She is the second Banana Slug to play for the Philippines in as many cycles, following former captain Claire Lim who started six times in their 2018 Asian Cup run.
The Philippines will play Hong Kong and Nepal in Uzbekistan from September 18-24, with the group winner qualifying for the 2022 Asian Cup to be held in India. The top six from that tournament will then qualify for the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
