ROCKLIN -Â Amanda Inserra led three Banana Slugs in double figures as UC Santa Cruz used a huge 2nd quarter to pull away in a 63-35 road win at William Jessup.
Inserra scored 16 points on 6-10 shooting. Ashley Kowack added 13 points, as did Kaylee Murphy, who also had a team-high 17 points for her second-straight double-double.
After a close first quarter, UC Santa Cruz (2-1) took control by outscoring the Warriors 18-6 in the second. Makenna Chasmar scored all six of her points in the second, connecting on a pair of threes.
Aubrey Wagner finished the game with six points, seven assists and three of UCSC's eight total steals.Â
UC Santa Cruz has their home opener on Wednesday November 17th when they face Pacific Union at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
