Box Score ANGWIN (1-30) - Ashley Kowack scored 26 points as UC Santa Cruz hit the century mark for the second straight game in a 100-80 win at Pacific Union.

After a close first quarter, UCSC opened the second quarter with a 21-9 run capped by a CJ Catina three to take a 46-33 lead with 4:31 until halftime and never trailed again. Amanda Inserra added a three-pointer to give the visitors a 55-41 lead at the break. The third quarter was all UCSC. Kaylee Murphy's free-throw 4:34 into the period capped an 11-6 run that made it 66-47. The Slugs pushed the lead to 83-59 at the end of the third on Lilli Hammons's putback at the buzzer.
Kowack shot 9-17 from the field, including 3-7 from long range to tie Tyler Stewart for sixth on the school's career three-pointers made list with 107 treys. Catina and Emily Mitchell each added 13 points with Mitchell having team-highs of five rebounds and 4 steals.
Olivia Crigler led the Pioneers (0-17) with 28 points and Jasmine Peete added 25 points and 13 rebounds.
UCSC hit over 50% from three-point land for the second straight game, shooting 14-25 (56%). The Banana Slugs cashed in on extra possessions with 35 points off 29 Pioneer turnovers, including 15 steals.
The Banana Slugs next play Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm against Simpson at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
