The UCSC Women's Basketball Team defeated Occidental College in Los Angeles on December 19, by a score of 57-47.

Junior Guard Rachel Baudler again lead UCSC in scoring with 15 points. For the season, Baudler is leading the team in scoring at 14.2 points a game, and is second on the team in rebounds at 5.8.

Baudler, with 25 three-pointers through nine games, is on pace to break the UCSC single season record for three-pointers made in a season. That record of 51 was set by Vicki Priuska during the 1987-88 season. Baudler leads UCSC in three-point field goal percentage at 36.8%.

The win gives UCSC a 3-game winning streak, and brings their season record to 4-5. The team plays its next game January 10th at Menlo College.
