TURLOCK, CA -- The UCSC women's track team opened their inaugural NCAA campaign Saturday at the CSU Stanislaus Open and sophomore Evie Borchard kicked things off with a win in their opening race.
Borchard, a NCAA Championship qualifier this past cross country season, ran 10:27 win for first place in the women's 3000m.
In middle distance action Mimi Petersen, Abby Walker and Anya Lundeberg finished two through four in the women's 1500m with Lundeberg and Petersen also claiming third and sixth in the 800m.
The slugs return to CSU Stanislaus for the Kim Duyst Invitational this Saturday.
