Won Bronze in USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships Patriot Division with San Diego Volleyball Club.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Kay Young and Sonny Talamantes. Lists her sister Maracela as her most inspirational person in her life "because she has always been by my side not only in life but also with volleyball." Chose UCSC for the research opportunities, its perfect location next to the beach, and proximity to family. Hobbies include hiking and going to the beach.
