HIGH SCHOOL: Most Improved, Coach's Award, Most Inspirational, All-league award, national honor roll as well as HS honor roll.
PERSONAL: Sophie chose UCSC because it is beautiful, not too far from home, good psychology department, and for the relaxed atmosphere. What she likes best about Santa Cruz is the beach courts, location, and people. Best class taken at UCSC was Behavioral Neuroscience. Her hobbies are volleyball, drawing, sleeping, peppering, dancing, and photography. Favorite food is Jamba Juice, cereal, and bagels and favorite athlete is Roger Federer. She enjoys listening to rock, oldies, and classic rock. Sophie speaks 3 languages, Russian, Armenian, and English and is in the process of learning French. She plans to study abroad in France and hopes to live there. She was born in the Republic of Georgia, has one brother Gior (21), and her parents are Greg and Lyudmila.
