UCSC: Part of EOP and received the academic excellence award in 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL: Jihan was part of the "All Team" Junior Olympics in 2003. Was First Team All-League in 2001, 02, and 03. Was the league MVP in 2004 and was a golden state exam honoree.
PERSONAL: Jihan's favorite thing about Santa Cruz is playing beach volleyball. Her hobbies are cooking, digital photography, and working out. Favorite food is dutch cheese. She enjoys listening to Lauryn Hill, Dead Prez, M1, The Cap, Dixie Chicks, and Gnarls Barkley. Her favorite athlete is Mike Bibby. She has been playing volleyball since 6th grade, started club for Golden Bears Volleyball when she was 13 and played there until she was 18. She is originally from Berkley and loves it. Jihan also has a little sister, Angelica, who she says is going to be a volleyball stud.
