Biography

AT UCSC: Played in four games as a freshman in 2018-19, hit first FG (a three-pointer) Jan. 11 2019 against California Miramar. Shot 4-8 FG and 3-4 long-range in five games in 2019-20. Career-highs 6 points and two assists February 22 at St. Katherine.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mr. Panther Award, Benicia High School Varsity Basketball (2017). 4.0 Cumulative GPA for all four years at Benicia High School - Principal's Scholar Honor roll all four years- Took four AP classes. Played travel ball with Nor Cal Power.

PERSONAL: Son of Christian and Jennifer Whitty. His parents are his most influential people because "they taught me how to be resilient in life and how to keep my head up during the tough times."
Picked UCSC because he always loved the Santa Cruz area ever since childhood, visiting multiple times during the summer. UCSC is not too far away from home, but it is also far enough to feel away for college.
