AT UCSC: Enters senior year in 12th place in school career three-pointers list with 93 made. Ben played in all 25 games with 14 starts his sophomore year,averaging 7.9 points and 4.5 rebounds with career-bests of 17 points against Redlands 11/27/16 and 9 rebounds against Illinois Tech and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. has earned Scholar Athlete Awardeach year.
Played in 24 games with 11 starts as a freshman. Averaged 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds. Season-high was 15 points against Puget Sound.
HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 15.7 points and 7.5 rebounds his senior year, leading Aptos High School to the Div. 3 Northern California State Playoffs, the Central Coast Section Championship game and the SCCAL League title with a 24-8 overall record. Was named 2015 MVP of the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League and the Register-Pajaronian Player of the Year.
PERSONAL: Parents are Mark and Tracie Dorfman. Picked UCSC for the ability to get a high quality UC education, play basketball at the NCAA level and it also has a great environmental program.
