With one of the largest selections of outdoor gear rental in the greater Bay Area, Adventure Rec is here to help you get outdoors on your next adventure.
Rec Rental is open to everyone - UCSC students, staff, faculty and all community members.
2026/27 Rental Windows:
Fall: Monday, September 28 - Friday, December 4. Monday, December 7, is the last day to return gear.
Winter: Monday, January 4 - Friday, March 19 (Rec Spring Break trip participants get priority on spring break rentals. Requests for non-Rec trip participants will be fulfilled as gear is available, starting Monday, March 15)
Spring: Monday, March 29 - Friday, June 4
Rec Rental is closed over the summer and on University holidays.
