HIGH SCHOOL: Swam for Santa Monica High School and Team Santa Monica Club. Junior National medal, Futures swimming time standards. High-honors, bi-literacy in Latin, National Honors Society, Project Lead The Way scholars Award.

PERSONAL: Son of Maria Shaaban and Moniem Shaaban. Brother Alan Shaaban. Most influential persons are his parents because "they came to this country as immigrants and became successful."
He picked UCSC because it offered a place I could learn and swim and be near the coast. Hobbies include body surfing, mountain biking, collecting pens, 'shoe enthusiast'.
