Biography

HIGH SCHOOL: At Esperanza they won CIF for two of Alissa's four years and were runner's up in the Regional State Finals. Won the Torrey Pines Tournament and finished with a 30-5 record. Academically, her GPA her senior year was 4.2. She was awarded a scholarship for academics from her volleyball team.

PERSONAL: Alissa was born in Pennsylvania where she was lived for 10 years before moving to Southern California where she played volleyball at Esperanza HS and club volleyball at Impact Volleyball Club and Golden West. She chose UCSC to play volleyball, the location, and for the education. What she likes best about Santa Cruz is it is close to the beach and everyone is friendly and really laid back. Her hobbies are sleeping, eating, volleyball, the beach, and friends. Favorite food is In & Out, jicama, apples, and candy. Favorite music is rock, screamo, reggae, ska, country and oldies. Favorite athlete is Misty May. Alissa has one older sister who attends UCSD.
