HIGH SCHOOL:

Earned varsity letters for 4 years at Riverside martin Luther King High school.

Big VIII League All-Academic Awards in high school in 2014 and 2015. Had the second highest GPA in the league.

PERSONAL: Parents are Kimin Hong (father), Saibel Kim (mother). Has a sister Jean. Parents are her most influential people because "they shaped me to the person that I have become and I wouldn't be where I am now without their support." Picked UCSC because UCSC allowed her to major in what she's interested in and participate in NCAA sports at the same time.

In her free time likes to play guitar or watch movies. Also involved with Engineers Without Borders on campus for interest in helping people around the world by building solar-powered water pumps.
