Banana Slugs Tied in Fourth Place After Day One at SCIAC 2

Beaumont, Ca. - The UC Santa Cruz women's golf team sits tied in fourth place after the opening day of the SCIAC 2 tournament, shooting +53 on day one at the Morongo Golf Course at Tukwet Canyon, hosted by the University of Redlands.Â
Tied in tenth place, Maya London earned the highest score for the Banana Slugs with a first-round score of 84, shooting +12. Olivia Lew followed in 15th place with a score of 85, shooting +15. Alyssa Castellanos and Samantha Shaw completed in a tie at 17th place in round one, both players carding rounds of 86 and shooting +14. Adeline Truong rounded out the lineup in 24th after round one, with a score of 88, shooting +16 for the Banana Slugs.Â
Round two will continue tomorrow, April 4, in Beaumont, California.
