SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Tuesday morning, the College Sports Communicators announced the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Men's and Women's Swim and Dive Teams with UC Santa Cruz bringing in three men's honors and four women's honors. Student-athletes had to be top performers in their events in the pool while maintaining above a 3.50 GPA to be eligible for the award.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Among this year's honorees for the women were
Ruby Sanchez,
Honour Dufresne,
Kirsten Boyle, and
Katy Hawk. The Banana Slugs boasted impressive resumes for their honors with Sanchez majoring in Computer Science/Cognitive Science, Boyle majoring in Robotic Engineering, with Dufresne and Hawk majoring in Marine Biology and Psychology, respectively.
On the men's side,
Michael Fusinati,
Massimo Reyna, and
Presley Golling earned Academic All-District honors with the trio majoring in Biology, Marine Biology, and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, respectively.
