SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Wednesday morning, the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2024-25 men's basketball awards.
Zach Granberry was honored with the C2C Scholar Athlete of the Year award while
Joseph Espy,
Zino Okah, and
Andrew Ferrara-Jones earned All-Conference selections.
Joseph Espy led the way for the Banana Slugs, earning First Team All-Conference honors after a stellar year on both ends of the court for UC Santa Cruz. Espy was the team leader in points per game and rebounds, averaging 17.0 and 7.9, respectively. Espy led the team in scoring, recording 407 points on the year, bringing his career total to 668 overall while also leading the team in rebounds with 190 boards. Espy's 17ppg ranked third in the conference while his 7.9rpg ranked second in the C2C. Espy also ranked third in field goal percentage with a 58.2 clip on the year.
Zino Okah and
Andrew Ferrara-Jones both earned Second Team nods with the duo averaging 12.6ppg and 12.1ppg respectively. Okah led the Slugs in blocks and steals with 35 and 39, respectively. Okah was also ranked second on the team with 123 rebounds, averaging 5.1 per game.
Andrew Ferrara-Jones made his most notable contributions from downtown, leading the Slugs beyond the three point arc with 58 threes on the year and a 37.2 shooting percentage from range. Ferrara-Jones picked up 81 rebounds on the year and added 39 assists to help earn his Second Team honors.
Zach Granberry earned the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award with a business management and economics major. Granberry appeared in 24 contests for the Slugs with one start on the year.
