Sydney Boyd, but Claremont-Mudd-Scripps equalized early in the second half. The result leaves the Banana Slugs with a 2-2-3 record on the season.

Ainsley Gove making a crucial save on a header in just the 3rd minute, setting the tone for a defensive battle. The Banana Slugs struck first in the 27th minute when
Sydney Boyd scored her first goal of the season, giving UCSC a 1-0 lead. Gove continued her stellar first half with three saves to keep Claremont-Mudd-Scripps off the scoreboard.
In the second half, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps quickly responded, leveling the game with a goal in the 49th minute. Despite UCSC's best efforts to regain the lead, the Slugs couldn't find the back of the net again. Gove added two more saves in the second half, finishing with five saves total to preserve the 1-1 draw.
