Just like the night before with the Women's Tennis teams, the UC Santa Cruz men's tennis team won 6-3 over Colorado College in a landslide at La Madrona.Â

In the victory, the Banana Slugs had a quick lead after winning all three doubles. At No. 1. captain
Andrew Tjoa and partner
Praneet Varade ended up with a score of 8-3. At No. 2, the duo of
Ryan Lam and
Benjamin Wang conquered the Tigers with an 8-3 score. In No. 3,
Radin Sadeghi and
Mayur Nookala won with a score of 8-5.Â

The Banana Slugs won three singles matches.
Hari Raghavan won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4, while Varade won at No. 2 with a score of 3-6, 7-5 and a tiebreaker set of 11-9.
Benjamin Wang won his match at No. 5 with scores of 6-1 and 6-3. Both Varade and Wang provided a quote of how they felt after the match.

Wang explained that "the doubles put us on a hot start with the 3-0 lead, and we played some great singles to get the clinch."Â

Varade emphasized "we brought in some good energy from doubles which led us to a 3-0 lead. Everyone fought hard as a team which gave us the win."
The UCSC men's tennis team put up a hard and strong battle with a winning score of 6-3. Next week, they will play at Whittier College on Tuesday to open their Spring Break trip.
