SANTA CLARA -- UC Santa Cruz visited Division I neighbor Santa Clara on Saturday, falling 7-0 to the Broncos.

Santa Clara won two doubles matches quickly before taking all six singles matches. Benjamin Wang was the only Banana Slug to extend his match past two sets. He took the first set 7-6 off SCU's Matthew Rodriguez, but dropped the next set 6-1. The third set was a back-and-forth classic before Rodriguez prevailed 13-11 on the tiebreaker.

The Banana Slugs return to Division III competition when they host Colorado College Tuesday afternoon at the La Madrona Athletic Club.
