CLAREMONT, CA. – UC Santa Cruz battled a 0-0 draw against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday in a strong defensive showing. Goalkeeper Chris Jamrok's six saves helped the Banana Slugs hold their opponent scoreless, moving UCSC's record to 6-1-9.
How It Happened
In the first half, UCSC took six shots while drawing three corners, but despite creating opportunities, they couldn't find the net. Chris Jamrok made four key saves to keep Claremont-Mudd-Scripps off the scoreboard going into halftime.
In the second half, UCSC increased their offensive push with nine more shots, five on target, and two additional corners. Jamrok continued his solid performance with two more saves, ensuring the match ended in a goalless draw. The contest was an evenly matched battle with both teams creating solid chances but the Stags and Slugs both couldn't find the net as we remained scoreless for UCSC's ninth tie of the season.
