Women's tennis opens Fall duals with victory

Wu and Van Houten picked up win in doubles

WALLA WALLA, WA-- The Banana Slugs started the 2023-24 dual season in strong fashion with a convincing 7-2 win against Lewis and Clark State College at the Whitman Fall Invitational.

Doubles victories included the team of Tanner Rowland and Meghana Damojipurapu, and the first year duo of Chloe Wu and Sweden Van Houten. Sara Beckman, Natalie Sprenger, Damojipurapu, Rowland and Melody Ghaffari all had singles victories.

The Banana Slugs next face Whitworth University at 1:00pm on Saturday.
