In front of a season-high crowd of 150 fans, UC Santa Cruz women's volleyball lost 3-0 (16-25, 17-25, 23-25) to old rival Colorado College to open their weekend homestand.
The Banana Slugs went to 12-8.

Playing in Santa Cruz for the first time since 2006, the Tigers (9-7) hit over .200 in both of the first two sets to take the lead. The third set was a wild display of wonderful volleyball with fourteen ties. However, Colorado College got the last two points to stop the comeback and finish the match.

Kelly Ann Greene led the Banana Slugs with seven kills and three total blocks.
Sydney Ahrendt added five kills.
Ashley Magley had a team-high 12 assists in Magley's first outing as setter.
Michaela Augustine contributed five assists plus two of the Banana Slugs' four aces.
