UC Santa Cruz had an edge in shots and possession, but an early second-half goal was the difference in a 1-0 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Saturday at the Lower East Field.
The Banana Slugs (1-2-1) played an even game with their rivals to the south, in a game that features great passing and back-and-forth action.

Alyssa Diaz-Tucker had a season-high five saves for the Banana Slugs in the game.
