Avri Finch scored 16 points and pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds, but UC Santa Cruz couldn't slow down a hot-shooting Redlands squad in a 76-62 loss on Saturday afternoon.
The game featured ten lead changes and three ties, but Redlands (5-3) outscored the host Banana Slugs 45-33 in the second half to takeover a close game.
Finch also had three blocks. His rebound total was the second-most in school history, just behind Sam Gabbard's school record of 22.
Tyler Kessinger added 16 points off the bench on 5-10 shooting from the field.
Calvin Keyes had nine points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
Darne Duckett led four Bulldogs in double figures with 16 points to go with seven assists.
After taking a week off for finals, UC Santa Cruz will regroup for a two-game Los Angeles roadtrip, starting with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday December 12.
