Women's Volleyball advances to ACAA Final with 3-0 sweep of Valley Forge

PHOENIXVILLE, PA (11-2) UC Santa Cruz overpowered University of Valley Forge in their first game of the ACAA tournament, winning 3-0 in a quick three sets (25-5, 25-5, 25-10).
The Banana Slugs (14-14) dominated in all aspects, with 33 kills, a .418 hitting percentage, and 28 assists. They outserved the Patriots 18 aces to none.
A team effort led UCSC to the victory, and the statistics leaders were Claire Okerlund with 7 kills, 0.467 hitting and 6 digs, Sinead Beaupain contributed 19 assists, and Timolin Kepon with a career-high 8 aces.
The Slugs will play for the ACAA tournament championship tomorrow at 11am Pacific time against Pratt Institute.
