The #10 men's tennis team defeated the 4th ranked Kingmen. UC Santa Cruz came back from down 2-1 after doubles by winning 4 of the 6 singles matches in straight sets.
Cal Lu started off strong in doubles with Nick Ballou and Ray Worley defeating Erich Koenig and Chris Goetz 8-4 at number 1 doubles. At number 2 doubles Connor Treacy and Alex Nichols defeated Bryce Bettwy and Max Littlejohn in a back and forth match by the score of 8-6. In the final doubles match Andre Halabi and Sam Rogers put the Slugs on the board with a 9-7 victory over Thomas Millet and Marcello Sousa.
The beginning of singles saw Cal Lu stretch their lead to 4-1 with Thomas Millet defeating Elias Scandalis 6-1 6-0 at #5 singles and Nick Ballou defeating Erich Koenig 6-0 6-4. On the brink of defeat the Slugs began to rally with Andre Halabi defeating Ray Worley 6-1 6-0 and Bryce Bettwy defeating Alex Nichols 6-4 6-0. The next match finished was Sam Rogers tying up the score with a 6-1 6-3 victory over Connor Treacy. With the outcome of the match riding on the last match Max Littlejohn completed the comeback with a 6-3 6-4 victory over Devon Belcher.
