The Slugs won the first two games before Menlo fought back and took game three only to lose the fourth set by a two point margin (25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 26-24). Leading the offense for UCSC was Junior Outside Hitter Katie English who had an impressive 22 kills, 12 digs and 2 aces for the match. Leading the defense for the Slugs was Senior Libero Melinda Tom who once again joined the AVCA 30 Kill Club tallying 38 digs for the match.
