AT UCSC: At 2020 PCSC Championship, Smith finished the 1000 yard Freestyle in a dead-tie for first in 9:29.47 seconds, which broke the old school record of 9:33.43 set by Ben Weston in 2000. Helped 400 yard Free relay finish third in last event of the Invite, to help Banana Slugs clinch their first-ever Conference title. He helped team finish third in both 200 and 800 Free relays at 2019 Bay Area Invitational in Oakland.

Won 200 Free in 1:45.51 at 2020 Chris Knorr Invite at Cal Lutheran.

HIGH SCHOOL: CIF State Qualifier in the 500 Freestyle at Dublin HS. Advanced Academic High School Diploma.

PERSONAL: Parents are Lin & Andrew Smith. Brother Edward Smith.

Picked UCSC because "it was a place I could advance my academic education as well as my training as a student-athlete." Also enjoys the setting.
