At UCSC: Participated in 2016 NCAA National Championship, competing in the 100 Fly and 50 Freestyle. Holds school-record in 100 Fly (48.61) and on school-record 200 & 400 Medley relays.
High School: Ivan graduated from Carlmont HS in 2013. While in HS he was awarded Carlmont Athlete of the year, San Mateo County Swimmer of the Year, PAL League MVP, 3 time PAL Record Holder, and 10 times Carlmont record holder. He was also on the Honor Roll and was an Academic All American. He has 4 varsity letters for Swimming and 4 for Water Polo.
Personal: He is the son of Yurig and Nadez. During his free time he enjoys eating sushi and taking long walks on the beach.
