200 Free Relay Earns First Team All-American Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, In. – The UC Santa Cruz men's and women's swim and dive teams continued competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swim and Dive Championships, competing in the 200 free, 100 fly, and 200 free relay.

Day Two Results
UC Santa Cruz started the day with the men's 200 free as Massimo Reyna took 38th overall with a time of 1:42.11. Katy Hawk took 40th on the women's side, touching the wall in 1:54.66.

In the 100 fly, Greyson Davies dropped nearly two seconds off his seed time, touching the wall in 48.88 seconds to take 33rd while Andrew Koika took 36th with a time of 49.32s.

The Banana Slugs 200 free relay team of Kyle Reitan, Andrew Koika, Charlie Hussain, and JJ Stoen turned in the seventh fastest time in the prelim this morning, combining for a 1:20.12 to earn a spot in the Championship final. During the evening session, the Banana Slugs turned in a 1:20.69 to take eighth place and bring home some hardware. UCSC earned First Team All-American honors for their performance, becoming the first relay team since 2009 to earn First Team All-American honors.
