LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz men's basketball team has announced they will face the University of Southern California on Sunday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Galen Center. This will be the first meeting in program history between the Banana Slugs and Trojans.
"We are appreciative of Coach Musselman and his staff for the opportunity to play at USC on Sunday after the tragic events at Brown last week. This will be an incredible experience for our student athletes to compete against a Big Ten opponent. We look forward to playing in front of our families, alumni, and fans in one of the best college basketball venues in the country." –
Matt Malone, Head Coach UC Santa Cruz Men's Basketball.
"We want to thank UC Santa Cruz for coming in to play us on short notice. We're looking forward to welcoming them and their program to play at USC, and we hope our fans will join us as we come together through the game—especially at this time of year. We invite everyone to be in the building, support both teams, and share in the spirit of community and togetherness as we head into the holidays." – Eric Musselman, Head Coach USC Men's Basketball.
