
Banana Slugs Take 4th at University of the Pacifc

STOCKTON, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz men's cross country team took 4th place at the University of the Pacific on Friday evening, recording 98 points overall with an average time of 26:39.26. UC Santa Cruz will be back in action on October 18 with two meets. The Banana Slugs will send a squad to Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois while another crew will travel to Sunnyvale, California for the Bronco Invite.

Ethan Vahle led the way for UCSC, running a 26:05.0 to take 16th place while Liam Manley and Sean Conley took 22nd and 23rd in a battle at the finish line with Manley running a 26:23.0 while Conley clocked a 26:23.1. Brennen Rickey was the next Banana Slug to cross the line, running a 26:56.9 to take 32nd while Alex Wille took 38th in 27:28.3. Kelvin Chan and Eduardo Palma rounded out the top seven with Chan taking 44th in 28:00.9 while Palma crossed in 28:54.2 to take 51st.
