WHITTIER (3-25) - UC Santa Cruz continued their Southern California trip as they took on Whittier College. The Banana Slugs won each match that was played against the Poets for a 9-0 victory.
Julia Chiaradia Azzi finished the match with a comeback 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 win for her first dual win of the spring.

Chloe Wu said about today's match, "I really enjoyed the energy everyone brought today. I started my match with very low confidence but quickly found myself playing like I know I can and the team spirit was a big support."

Azzi echoed Wu's sentiments. "The energy today was so contagious! I enjoyed fighting through it and knowing that my teammates got me back. Shout out to Coach Linda for the great feedback and helping all of us feel at ease!"

The Banana Slugs improved to 9-3 on the season.
