Pasadena, CA- The Banana Slugs fall to 1-4 on the season after dropping their games versus Cal Tech 56-66.
Alyssa Jackson led the Slugs in points with 14, adding on two steals and a rebound.
Ariel Anderson was close behind with 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, and one steal. The Slugs will be back in action on Tuesday, November 26th in Atherton, CA, facing off against Menlo College at 2:00 pm PST.
How It Happened
The action began fast with a pair of made free throws from
Ariel Anderson. With some back and forth in the first two minutes, the Beavers took control and outscored the Slugs 19-12 in the first quarter.
The second quarter had the Slugs pushing to cut the lead to as little as four, but the Beavers's offense had a response for every move the Slugs made.
In the second half of the game, the Banana Slugs shot better than 40% from field goal but the Beavers kept their lead with key three-pointers and consistent free throws ending the game with a 10 point lead to win 66-56 over the Slugs.
