SANTA CRUZ, CA. – UC Santa Cruz earned a 1-0 victory over Menlo College on Wednesday thanks to a late first-half goal by
Torin Volkamer. The Banana Slugs played strong throughout, holding Menlo to just one shot in the first half and securing the win at East Field. The game featured a chippy play style from start to finish with both teams ending the contest with three yellow cards each in a physical 1-0 win for the Slugs.

Torin Volkamer scored to give the Banana Slugs a 1-0 lead. Defensively, UCSC held Menlo to just one shot in the half.
