Rainie Dabbs game UC Santa Cruz a 2-0 win over resilient Mills College on Wednesday afternoon.
UC Santa Cruz (4-7-2) ran their unbeaten streak to four games, including back-to-back wins over their NorCal rivals.
The Banana Slugs had eight shots on goal in the first half against the Cyclones, but all were saved to keep the game 0-0 at the break. Cichowski finally broke down the Mills defense in the 68th minute after the Slugs' third shot in a minute stretch. It was the freshman's fourth goal in two games against Mills (1-7) this week.
Dabbs completed the scoring 10:35 later when she got on the end of a pass from captain
Fiona Nielsen. It was Dabbs first career goal in a UCSC uniform.
Overall, the Banana Slugs had a 21-0 shot advantage, including 14 shots on goal.
UC Santa Cruz returns home for a key two-game homestand starting Saturday against Occidental.
