UC Santa Cruz Men's Volleyball wins their first conference match (CVC) against Fontbonne University.  The Slugs won in three sets with the following scores: 25-9, 25-16, 25-22.

The Slugs began the match dominating the net with complete control over the opponent's offense.  Key service runs coupled with strong side-outs allowed the team to pull to an uncatchable leads early in each set.  In the third set, the opponents managed to string together a few points giving them the lead through half the set.  However, the Slugs stayed resilient and managed to close the gap, narrowly edging out their opponent in the final score.
