Jason Semanisin scored 19 points, hitting five three-point baskets, to lead UC Santa Cruz to a nonconference victory over San Jose Christian. UCSC (7-7) took a commanding 41-29 half-time lead because of its fine execution. "It was a clean crisp half for us," UCSC coach Duane Garner said. "Guys were moving, we were running our offense and guys were hitting the open man."

San Jose Christian (6-8) never closed to within closer than the final margin and UCSC went on to win for the third time in its past four games.
