TURLOCK, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's cross country team earned an 11th place finish at the Kim Duyst Twilight XC Invitational, recording 302 points along with a total time of 1:53:51 with an average time of 22:46. The Banana Slugs will be back in action on Sept. 27 when they travel to UC Riverside.
In the Results
The Slugs saw
Jordan Robinson and
Ryanne Reynolds cross the finish line just a few strides off one another with Robinson finishing in 62nd with a time of 22:33.6 while Reynolds took 63rd in 22:34.5.
Lucia Muthu and
Rosey Harris were the next two Banana Slugs to finish the 6k race with Muthu crossing in 22:42.2 while Harris finished in 22:49.3, earning 73rd and 79th place finishes, respectively.
Madelyn Basinet rounded out the top five with a 93rd place finish, completing the 6k in 23:12.2. The Banana Slugs saw the trio of
Holly Alchin,
Cheryl Chuang, and
Emma Wirz cross the line next with Alchin and Chuang rounding out the top seven in 22:23.9 and 23:31.7, earning 102nd and 106th place finishes while Wirz took 108th in 23:32.8.
Meeran Gill,
Madison Lorenz, and
Hope Martin also made solid showings for UC Santa Cruz, completing the 6k in 24:07.0, 24:28.1, and 25:10.8.
