SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Tuesday morning, the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2024-25 C2C Athletes of the Year with one male and female selected from the conference. Eric Anderson was selected as the Male Athlete of the Year while CNU's Hanna Heaton (Women's Soccer) was selected as the Female Athlete of the Year.
 
Eric Anderson earned this honor after finishing a storied career with the Banana Slugs cross country and track and field teams. Anderson captured his fourth All-American honor at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 1500m. Anderson earned First Team All-American honors during the Indoor Championships and added two National Runner Finishes in the Mile and 1500m last year to bring his career trophy count to four.
 
Anderson was an instrumental piece to the Banana Slugs lineup this year, helping the team win the Triple Crown with their fourth-straight C2C Cross Country Title and the program's first Indoor and Outdoor C2C Track and Field Championships. Anderson made his presence felt in the 800m and 1500m, winning both this outdoor season. Anderson also broke the conference records in those events with a 1:49.42 and 3:45.02, respectively. Anderson also won his third straight indoor mile Title at the C2C Indoor Championships with a meet record and won the 800m as well.
