AZUSA, Ca. - The UC Santa Cruz men's and women's track and field teams delivered a series of strong performances at the Azusa Pacific Franson Last Chance Meet, as athletes took one final opportunity to improve marks and rewrite the record books.  

Men's Results

• 100m: James Contini clocked 10.81 seconds (26th place) in a heavily wind-aided heat, while Tyler Vo crossed the line in 11.34 seconds (46th place).
• 400m: Shiven Karnik led the Slugs in the quarter-mile with a time of 49.94 seconds (23rd place), followed closely by Nathan Bruhn at 50.17 seconds (25th) and Shiv Mohan at 50.28 seconds (27th).
• 800m: Eric Anderson posted a standout performance with a time of 1:49.42, finishing 14th overall. Aaron Hillberg also competed well, recording a time of 1:52.08 (34th place).
• 1500m: Graeme Maclean was the top UCSC finisher with a time of 3:48.41 (27th place). He was followed by Camden Jaureguy in 3:56.03 (66th), Gavin Hahn in 3:59.68 (87th), Marcus Fehlman in 3:59.72 (88th), Desi Herrerias in 4:01.82 (95th), Eduardo Palma in 4:03.67 (100th), and Michael Masotti in 4:10.47 (131st).
• 5000m: Luke Holland turned in a solid performance with a time of 14:50.57 to place 26th.
• 110m Hurdles: Maxwell Holbrook finished the preliminaries in 20th place with a time of 15.95 seconds (0.9 wind).
• 400m Hurdles: Holbrook returned for the long hurdles, placing 23rd with a time of 57.63 seconds.
• 3000m Steeplechase: Camden Hebert led UCSC with a time of 9:38.22 (19th place), followed by Ethan Vahle who ran 9:57.51 (25th place).
• Long Jump: James Contini placed 13th overall with a wind-aided leap of 6.83m (22' 5"). His series included legal marks of 6.58m (1.3 wind) and 6.51m (0.4 wind), along with his best jump aided by a +2.8 wind.

Women's Results

• 100m: Amaya Cummins placed 30th with a time of 12.26 seconds, while Isha Kasanagottu finished 39th in 12.93 seconds.
• 200m: Cummins returned for a 26th-place finish in 25.49 seconds, and Kasanagottu crossed the line in 27.27 seconds (43rd place).
• 400m: Caitlin Donovan delivered a strong program record performance in the 400m, finishing 14th overall with a time of 57.36 seconds.
• 800m: Elena Stanciu led the Slugs in the two-lap race, clocking 2:13.32 to place 14th. She was followed by Jordan Robinson in 2:18.71 (30th), Jordan Baden in 2:21.21 (38th), Rosey Harris in 2:24.27 (45th), and Madelyn Basinet in 2:24.97 (47th).
• 1500m: Stanciu also shined in the 1500m with a time of 4:33.33, good for 19th place. Lucia Muthu (37th, 4:42.63), Baden (38th, 4:42.69), Sara Teitelbaum (43rd, 4:45.09), Robinson (46th, 4:47.83), Basinet (59th, 4:51.30), and Sofia Placias (65th, 4:58.43) also represented UCSC in a deep field.
• 100m Hurdles: Isha Kasanagottu placed 15th in the prelims with a time of 15.57 seconds, while Akira Jones followed in 19th with a time of 16.51 seconds.
• High Jump: Eliza Zheng cleared 1.43m (4' 8.25") to finish 18th in the event.
• Long Jump: Akira Jones placed 31st overall with her best leap of 4.76m (15' 7.5"), aided by a +1.9 wind. Her series included marks of 4.59m (1.5), 4.76m (1.9), and 4.71m (3.2).
