CLAREMONT, Ca. - The UC Santa Cruz men's tennis team faced a tough challenge on Sunday afternoon, suffering a 7-0 defeat against the No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags. Despite some hard-fought matches, the Banana Slugs were unable to secure a victory against the Stags on Sunday afternoon.

The match began with doubles play, where UC Santa Cruz struggled to gain momentum. In the No. 1 doubles match, Adam Hidas and Andrew Tjoa fell 6-2. The No. 2 doubles team of Rocco Melendez and Benjamin Wang also suffered a 6-2 loss. The closest match came at No. 3 doubles, where Mayur Nookala and Radin Sadeghi pushed their opponents to the brink before falling 7-6(3). With a sweep in doubles, UC Santa Cruz faced an uphill battle in singles play.
