Slugs Drop Home Match to Colorado College on Friday Afternoon

SANTA CRUZ. Ca, - The UC Santa Cruz Men's Tennis eam lost 5-2 in Friday's contest against the Colorado College Tigers. The Tigers swept the doubles to start things off. Among the six singles matches, the Slugs were able to pick up two wins. The Slugs fall to 4-7 middway through the season. Next Thursday the Slugs will be taking a road trip to Fresno, California to play Fresno Pacific University before heading to Atherton to play Menlo on Saturday, March 29th.
 
How It Happened
After being swept in the doubles 6-2, 6-1, and 6-3, the Slugs found some success in the singles courts. No. 4 Adam Hidas was the first to get a win for the Slugs. He took his match in two sets 6-1 and 7-5. No. 6 Benjamin Wang had a convincing win over his competition. He won in two quick sets that went to 6-2 and 6-3.
 
No. 1 Radin Sadeghi took his first set 6-2 but unfortunately fell in three after the subsequent sets went 6-1 and 2-1. No. 2 Andrew Tjoa was also able to take his first set 6-4, but the next two sets didn't go his way ending 6-3 and 6-4.
