STOCKTON, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's cross country team took 2nd place at the University of the Pacific on Friday evening behind a 58 points performance with an average time of 23:39.82 with five runners in the top 15. UC Santa Cruz will be back in action on October 18 with two meets. The Banana Slugs will send a squad to Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois while another crew will travel to Sunnyvale, California for the Bronco Invite.

Rosey Harris led the way for UC Santa Cruz, storming through the 6k in 22:55.8 to take seventh place overall while
Holly Alchin took 10th in 23:18.6.
Meeran Gill was the next Banana Slug to cross the line, taking 12th place with a time of 23:52.1. The Banana Slugs then saw a whole crew cross the line as
Madelyn Basinet (24:09.9),
Emma Wirz (24:07.7),
Amelie Geoffron (24:17.1),
Melody Chiu (24:20.4), and
Hope Martin (24:31.2) take 14th through 18th, respectively.
Madison Lorenz rounded out the performance with a 20th place finish, crossing the line in 25:07.9.
