FOREST GROVE, OR - On Saturday, UC Santa Cruz men's tennis put up a good fight against Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, but fell 3-6. The Banana Slugs record for the season is now 6-8.
Juniors
Andre Mardirossian and
Sam Hall were able to win their singles matches. Hall found a straight-set victory with a score of 6-4, 6-4, and Mardirossian went into three rounds with a final score of 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 in a Top Ten West Region battle. At No. 6,
Jason You also put up a great fight with three sets and a score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.
For Doubles,
Sam Hall and
Praneet Varade defeated their competition 8-2 at the No. 2 spot. The Men's tennis team is next preparing for the Ojai tournament in Ventura, CA April 22nd-24th.
