Men's Tennis Falls to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the NCAA Tournament

Claremont, CA-- The UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs lost to the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags in the first round of the NCAA DIII Men's Tennis Tournament.
The score was 5-0, indicating a tough match for the Banana Slugs against the top-ranked team in the nation. Although the fight was back and forth, the Slugs lost all three doubles matches with scores of 8-3, 8-2, and 8-5.
The momentum continued in the Stags' favor as they won two of the singles matches, with Ian Freer defeating Praneet Varade (6-3, 6-2) and Warren Pham defeating Hari Raghavan (6-1, 6-2). These victories sealed the deal for the Stags, making them the winners of the match.
