Ethan Simpson completed a B.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Physiology at California State University, Monterey Bay in 2016. During his undergraduate career, he obtained both the Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certifications through the NSCA. This strength and conditioning skillset was applied while working as a performance coach at the Alpha Project in Monterey. He continued graduate studies at Texas A&M University receiving an M.S. in Athletic Training in 2018. Upon finishing the first year of graduate school, he completed an internship with the Green Bay Packers, bridging the gap between professional and NCAA Div I athletics. Ethan spent the 2018-2019 season working with Mammoth Hospital Orthopedics while functioning as a member of the US Ski & Snowboard Medical Team. He is passionate about sports medicine on the central coast and is excited to support UCSC Athletics.
Away from work, you can find him mountain biking, fly fishing, or cooking outside.
