UC Santa Cruz will host their first-ever conference tournament when they host the 2019 American Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Tournament at the Lower East Field on November 2nd and 3rd.

The top-seeded Banana Slugs will play new NCAA Division III member Pratt Institute in the first semifinal 11:00 am Saturday. Second-seeded Finlandia (Mich.) play Mills College in the second semifinal at 2:00pm. It's the first-ever meeting against the Cannoneers of Brooklyn, New York and UCSC.

Pratt Institute is led by junior forward Audrey Howard with three goals. Goalkeeper Carly Klein has averaged 5.4 saves/game in her ten starts so far.

The winners advance to Sunday's final at noon. Admission is free for both days of the tournament. Food and drink concessions will be provided by Togos.

Due to the enormous geographic footprint that prevents a round-robin regular season, the Conference utilizes the Massey Ratings (masseyratings.com) for qualification and seeding into the postseason ACAA Championships in each sport except Cross Country. The host institution receives an auto qualification. The mid-October qualifying date was set so teams could make travel arrangements that insure they have a minimum of two weeks advance notice of travel before the Championship. UCSC joined the Conference this summer after the dissolution of the Association of Division III Independents.
